During the holidays my mum dad and sister visited us from New Zealand. We did a one week sailing course with our guide David, a 70 something year old who has done more with his life than Forrest Gump. After this we swapped out Samara for Giulia and continued down the Turquoise Coast to Kekova, along the way mooring off of Islands with ruins from 300BC, staying in luxury marinas with no fees and swimming in the beautiful water. Every village we stopped at had something new to offer whether it was natural springs, underwater ruins, unique food or mating grounds for turtles. The people were all really friendly and every place we ate food was a memorable experience. On the way back we woke up at 2 am and night sailed back up to Goçek to return the boat, taking turns steering we saw shooting stars and eventually watched the sun rise to reveal the coast line. Thanks Mum and Dad, it was an unforgettable trip!
